Spring Festival of Social Sciences and Humanities
Following the successful Sociology Day in 2009 where UoB staff presented their research in an informal and supportive environment, we will be holding a bigger and wider event this year, for staff, rsearchers and level 3 students.
‘Spring Festival of Social Sciences and Humanities'
at University Centre Hastings 11am-5pm on Friday 23rd April 2010
Last year a number colleagues took this opportunity to try out ideas for future research, report their research findings, possible projects for grant applications etc. The format is 20 mins presentation followed by 10 mins debate.
This is also an opportunity for staff and researchers working in different subject areas across the University to meet and exchange research ideas.
If you would like to present a paper please email Mark Bhatti with a title and brief abstract by 5pm 10th March.

Community University Partnership Programme (CUPP) and Coastal Regeneration Research Centre (CRRC)- ‘Beside the Seaside'
A Half-Day Conference on Coastal Regeneration in Hastings and Area - 29 March 2010 at University Centre Hastings
This first Annual Conference of the Coastal Regeneration Research Centre at University Centre Hastings, held jointly with the Community University Partnership Programme, will concentrate on progress made in CRRC's first year of operation on four key aspects of regeneration.
One key aim of the sessions will be to highlight more clearly the gaps in knowledge about the Hastings and St Leonards area and to identify the most pressing future research needs to support regeneration.
