- Computer Pool Rooms
Library computer open access pool room
20 work stations with internet access and basic Microsoft package. The machines have networked printing to a black and white printer within the room.
Opening Hours during term time:
Monday – Thursday 9.00 – 20.00
Friday 9.00 – 17.00
Saturday 9.00 – 16.00
Please check notice boards for holiday opening times There are 2 computers available in this room with specialist software from the teaching rooms. This will allow students access to the software out of class hours.
6th floor computer open access pool room
32 work stations with internet access and basic Microsoft package. The machines have networked printing to two black & white printers and a colour printer. The printers and the print credit machine are kept in a room within the computer pool room. There will be a number of computers available in this room with specialist software from the teaching rooms. This will allow students access to the software out of class hours. Technical support is normally available Monday to Friday from 8.30 - 5.00. At other times there may be a limited support service available.

Facilities for Students with Disabilities
There are two disabled car parking spaces in the UCH car-park which can be used by staff or students who have a disability sticker, however these spaces are not reservable. These users have access to the building via the back door and should ring the buzzer to gain entry at both the car-park barrier and at the back door.
UCH has wheelchair access, lifts to all floors and disabled toilet facilities. The Library has a text magnifier and a low-level photocopier, plus a specially adapted computer desk and keyboard.
Photocopying
The Library has two black and white photocopiers for general use. These work with copy cards. The costs are:
- A4 copies
£2.00 card (32 copies @ 6.25p each)
£5.00 card (100 copies @ 5p each)
- A3 copies
£2.00 card (24 copies @ 8.3p each)
£5.00 card (75 copies @ 6.6p each)
Acetate sheets are also available at a cost of 30p per sheet. There is a dispenser for copy cards in the Library.
