Connecting a Laptop/Netbook to the UoB network
You must have current Anti-virus Software installed before you connect your computer to the UoB network.
Information Services recommends that you use regularly updated anti-virus software. We currently have a license agreement to use software from Sophos.
If you want to install Sophos onto your laptop, then ask for a CDROM from the UCH Library desk. Alternatively, you can download it from the UoB server. The following documents describe how to do this.

Technical support is normally available Monday to Friday between 8.30 - 5.00; at other times there may be a limited technical support service available.

Please bring your Unicard with you when you come to the Computer Clinic.
