UCH is committed to providing students with a friendly and relaxed learning environment. Students benefit from supportive staff and due to the nature of courses, are likely to be in smaller groups so get to know staff and colleagues easily and quickly. The centre is part of the local community and arranges events for members of the local community, staff and students.
We offer different ways of studying so courses are easily accessible. This includes part-time or full-time options and some courses are delivered by distance learning. Shorter courses are available that allow for periods of study that can fit in with careers and family.
UCH is conveniently located in the centre of Hastings. Travelling to and from UCH is easy as it is close to the train station and to the town centre. Students mainly come from the local area, the South-east and London and we also have international students.
The centre was set up in 2003 so students benefit from new, modern learning facilities. This includes a Learning Resource Centre, computer centre, Broadcast Media Suite, lecture theatre, study rooms and a student lounge for relaxing and refreshments.
UCH is a unique centre as it combines the knowledge and expertise of its academic partners to provide the student experience. Students will graduate with a qualification from the institution that delivers their course. Partner institutions include:
